Shopping in Los Angeles can be a daunting task… if you don’t know where to look. With Southern California’s famous sunny skies, it is no surprise that business owners chose to capitalize on the picture-perfect weather. Outdoor shopping streets in LA have become somewhat of an institution, and the variety is endless. From the infamous designer boutiques lining Rodeo Drive to the kitschy vintage shops of Melrose Avenue, there truly is something for everybody and every budget. Council member Steven Beltrani, and council chair, Alexis Feldman introduced Executive Director, Jill O’Donnell-Tormey who spoke about the Institute's exciting advancements towards discovering and developing new, immune-based approaches to the treatment, control and prevention of cancer.
"I could not be more pleased with the outstanding turn-out and publicity that this event has received to support the groundbreaking efforts of the Cancer Research Institute,” said Steven Beltrani, Charity Happenings & council member. “The Young Philanthropists council worked extremely hard tonight and I am very proud to be part of such a successful evening and motivated group of young New Yorkers.
